Our Beliefs
1. Scripture - The Bible, comprising sixty-six books, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, serving as the only infallible and authoritative guide for faith and life, to be interpreted according to its plain, grammatical-historical meaning. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:19-21; Ps. 119:160; Prov. 30:5-6)
2. The One True God - God is one, revealed in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each distinct but sharing the same essence and united in their roles in relation to creation and redemption. (Gen. 1:1; Ex. 15:11; Ps. 83:18; Matt. 28:19; John 10:30; 15:26)
3. Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became fully human through the virgin birth without ceasing to be divine, and through His death, resurrection, and ascension, He serves as the mediator and advocate for believers. (John 1:1-14; 3:16; Matt. 1:18-25; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:6-10; 1 Cor. 15:3-7; Heb. 4:14-16; 1 John 2:1-2)
4. The Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is fully divine and plays an active role in revelation, regeneration, and sanctification, indwelling believers and empowering them for service while sealing their salvation until the day of redemption. (John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-14; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:13-14; Rom. 8:26-30; 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 13:8-10)
5. Humanity, Gender, and Marriage – We believe that humanity was created by God in His image, as male and female—distinct and biologically determined genders that reflect His design and are not subject to change. Marriage is the lifelong covenant union between one man and one woman, instituted by God for companionship, procreation, and purity. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God, intended to be expressed only within the bounds of biblical marriage. Any sexual activity outside of this context is a distortion of God’s created order. Through Adam’s sin, the human race fell, becoming spiritually dead, inherently sinful, and under just condemnation. All people are therefore in need of salvation and without excuse before God.
(Gen. 1:26–27; 2:24; 3:1–24; 5:2; 19:5,13; Lev. 18:1–30; Eccl. 7:20; Matt. 19:4–6; Mark 10:6; John 3:18–19; Rom. 1:20, 26–29; 3:10–23; 5:12; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9–10; Eph. 2:1–6, 12; 5:2–5, 31; 1 Thess. 4:3–8; 1 Tim. 1:10; Heb. 13:4)
6. Salvation and the Gospel – We believe that the Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ—His death for our sins and His bodily resurrection—which must be proclaimed to all people. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, made possible by Christ’s redemptive work and His shed blood. It is received through repentance and faith, yet fully accomplished by God’s sovereign and gracious work in the heart of the believer, apart from human merit.
(John 1:12; 3:14–16, 36; 6:28–29; 8:24; 20:31; Acts 5:31; 11:18; 13:48; 16:20–33; Matt. 28:18–20; 1 Cor. 15:3–4; Heb. 11:6)
7. The Church, Its Ordinances, and Its Relationship to the State – We believe that all believers are spiritually united in the body of Christ, the Church, through the work of the Holy Spirit. Local churches are the visible expression of this body, where believers gather for worship, fellowship, teaching, and service. The ordinances of baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are symbolic acts given to the church: baptism testifies of the believer’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection, and the Lord’s Supper commemorates His atoning death. While both the Church and civil government are established by God, they function in distinct spheres. The Church must remain separate from the State, though Christians may rightly influence government toward righteousness.
(Matt. 22:15–22; 28:19–20; Acts 2:41; 5:17–29; Rom. 6:3–4; 13:1–7; 1 Cor. 11:23–30; 12:12–13; 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 1:22–23; 3:21; 4:11–16; 5:25–27; Heb. 10:25)
8. Last Things – We believe in the personal, pre-tribulational, premillennial return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church, which is the blessed hope of believers. Following this, God’s righteous judgments will be poured out during the Tribulation, culminating in Christ’s physical return to earth in power and glory. At His return, Christ will establish a literal thousand-year kingdom marked by peace, righteousness, and the partial lifting of the curse. During this time, Israel will be restored, Satan will be bound, and Christ will reign over the earth. After the Millennium, Satan will be released for a final rebellion, swiftly defeated, and cast into the lake of fire for eternal torment. At the Great White Throne Judgment, the lost will be raised, judged, and cast into eternal, conscious punishment, while the redeemed will dwell with God in a new heaven and new earth forever.
(Titus 2:13; 1 Thess. 4:13–18; Jude 14–15; Rev. 19:11–16; Isa. 65:17–25; Ezek. 36:33–38; 37:21–28; Rev. 20:1–3, 7–15; Matt. 25:41)
We seek to grow fully devoted, Spirit-empowered Christ followers.
